On a daily basis we are fixated on visuals of “cultural perfection”, and those images soon become our reality. We get stuck in this cycle of trying to recreate ourselves, desiring acceptance from the world, and keeping up with the worlds perception of perfection.
This defeating mindset slows down our dreams and makes us feel as if we are inadequate. The emotional emptiness that consumes us confirms that we are more than just our physical bodies and that our true value comes from more than our physical appearance. Our true value comes from the desire in our hearts that makes us beautiful. When we find our purpose and stop running from our fears and the lies in our head, we are able to pursue our purpose. Where there is God’s purpose, there is immense passion.
God created us to be passionate; to be filled with intense desire or enthusiasm for something. He uses our passion to inspire others, which in my opinion creates a cycle orchestrated by God. Have you ever really thought about the actual definition for the word “inspire”? To inspire means, “to encourage someone to greater effort, enthusiasm, or creativity; to awaken a particular feeling in somebody.” Wow. So powerful!!
I love how it said “to awaken a particular feeling in somebody.” This is where my motivation to inspire others streams from. God uses each one of us to remind each other of how valuable we are. God uses us to share compliments with one another that help fuel us to go about our lives with joy, pure joy, and the feeling of acceptance. While walking in Faith, I have realized that when you encourage someone else, you yourself are encouraged. This is the cycle that God created to change the way we think and the way we live.
This is how God uses us, to encourage and inspire our sisters in Christ. I have made it my life mission to not be afraid to speak up and give someone a compliment. You never know when that one compliment  was the one compliment someone needed to keep their faith in The Lord. Guys this world already makes it hard enough to not get down on ourselves and pick apart our every flaw, so why not help one another see the beauty in each other that we overlook ourselves.
I struggled with very severe issues of insecurity for years. People would role their eyes at me when I said that, but it’s true. And it’s a serious matter.
I started practicing how to say “thank you”. And, let me just say, that was rough, and still is a challenge for me. This has been my greatest venture with the Lord, because I am aware of how I desperately need him. He has healed me and he has shown me what true beauty looks like.
I started thinking about the women who I viewed as beautiful and what beauty really meant to me, and this is the moment I realized beauty isn’t about physical appearance, beauty is about the kindness of the heart. The kindness of genuinely loving people. If we don’t love people then we aren’t being a good representation of who Christ is and what he came here to do, which was to show us how much he really loves us.
I started dissecting the beauty in these women whom I looked up to:
They had courage — courage  that made them brave to stand up for the things they were passionate about.
They had joy. Joy is so much deeper than happiness. Joy is heartfelt and radiates the presence of the Spirit.
They had confidence. It was almost as if they didn’t even need to look at themselves in the mirror because all that matter is that they were blessed.
The more I started thinking about the beauty that radiated from these ladies the more I wanted to chase after God. All these women had a common denominator, which was their passion for Christ. When we seek God for everything, he helps us with anything. The more I started to draw into the presence of the Lord, the more carefree and stress-free I became. Trust me, I still struggle, and that’s just part of the flesh. What’s important is that we can recognize when our thoughts start to go south, and we immediately say the name Jesus and he reminds us of our worth.
Y’all better stop me, because I could literally go on all day about things that God has revealed to me and just how good and faithful he is. I would love to hear from you guys as God creates the foundation for self-healing. This is a safe place. This is a place were we can build a relationship and an accountability with one another to love on each other, encourage each other, motivate each other, and pray with each other!!!
I am so appreciative of each and every one of you who took the time to read what a God has put on my heart. If it’s ok I’d really love to pray with you guys and allow God to move!
Dear Jesus, I want to say thank you for being such a good, good father. One who loves us and protects us. Thank you Lord for creating us in your image. When I think about what that means I am amazed at what you do. Thank you for reminding us that you are for us. That you love us each and every day just the same. I love how peaceful we feel when we are in your presence Lord. Thank you for speaking truth. Thank you for conquering the enemies that feeds us nothing but lies. I pray Lord that you will wrap your loving arms around every single woman that is reading this. That you give them a deeper understanding of how much you really do love them. That you press on their hearts and that they may seeks you more and more. Speak truth into their lives Lord. I pray that you will direct them to finding true purpose and that you will ignite them with passion! Let your love burn in our hearts so that we may always be eager to know you more. Thank you Lord for creating each and every single one of us in your perfect mirror image! We absolutely love you. Amen!
